In 2021-2022, like every season, the Top 14 was full of emotion, but perhaps even more so!
Remember the historic first times:
- Montpellier's first shield
- Castres' first regular-season lead.
Remember the last unforgettable moments
The retirement of a historic generation, all together, 495 caps and 31 titles please.
- Guilhem Guirado,
- Louis Picamoles,
- François Trinh-Duc,
- Maxime Medard,
- Rory Kockott,
- Yoann Maestri,
- Damien Chouly,
- Wesley Fofana,
- Fulgence Ouedraogo
Remember Toulon's mad race for qualification:
After a poor start to the season, Toulon qualified on the final day of the championship.
Remember the qualifiers that were missed by a whisker, but which offered hope:
Those of the Rochelais, Toulousain, Bordeaux and Racing teams from the Paris region, torn between the joy of the finals and the sadness of elimination.
Remember the more contrasting results
of Clermont, Lyon, Pau and Stade Français, never really in the running for the title.
Last but not least, Perpignan and Brive will no doubt be relieved to be holding their own after a long battle. Not so the bottom of the class, Biarritz. The BO, who will be content with a moral victory: that of having thrilled the Basque fans with an ambitious game.
What adjective would best describe this season? Exciting? No. Passionate!
